Just a shot of what I have done on the wig so far.
Please be kind. This is my first time heavily altering a wig. Wait...this is the first time I have ever actually dealt with a wig o__O (the other wigs I have I just...bought and left as is lol)
So, wig styling is definitely not my forte
It's really messy. But eh. It's all I've got for now since I'm too broke to pay $300-400 for a wig. I put my wig money towards the rest of my costume, since I figured I could try to make a wig myself.
Anyways, I sewed in around 10 dreadlocks today and tried doing the braid and that weird little pony tail thing he has (with the sail needle in it)
Still have lots to do on it
I still have to:
*add more dreadlocks (lighter colored ones, and black ones)
*trim/thin out some of the hair, as right now there is way too much free flowing hair
*add all the coins and ties (oh god, gotta find where they are all placed meh
)
*fade/weather the bandana a bit
*re-do the braid to be neater and shorter (will do that after I get my wig head styling clamp thing)
*change out the ends of my kuchi dangles
If I'm really super lazy or busy, I may end up wearing this wig as is for Otakon. Since it is kinda like the COTBP wig at this point. lol
